Australasia Division

The most mature expression of the Bidcorp model

Bidfood Australasia offers customers the foodservice industry's most comprehensive range, wide market coverage, economies of scale, and true one-stop-shop solutions across Australia and New Zealand. As the group's most mature division, Australasia represents what decades of investment, customer focus, and operational excellence can achieve.

F2025 was a year of resilience. Consumer pessimism and inflationary pressure weighed heavily on both markets – particularly in New Zealand, where certain customers reported business declines of between 10% and 30% as macro-economic forces suppressed consumer spending. Yet the division held firm: Australia grew profitability off a record prior-year base, and New Zealand limited its decline despite operating through a full-blown recession.

Bidcorp continued to invest confidently in New Zealand during F2025, opening three new sites and expanding a fourth. A new branch in Canberra expanded Australian geographic reach. In constant currency terms, divisional results were broadly flat – a commendable outcome that underscores the operational quality of both businesses.
